You Break Through

I turn into a gibbering mess when it's time to receive dental work. As in, I am not functional as a human because I am scared out of my mind. DA Irene and Dr. Henry made my appointment as easy as they possibly could despite the fact that I had a 'hot tooth' and were professional and courteous to me, their visibly terrified patient. They both explained everything they talked about or needed to do in utmost clarity and answered all my follow up questions with smiles. It was clear they wanted to help me as a person, not as a wallet.

I’ve been coming to Southcenter Modern Dentistry for a while now and have had multiple visits here, and every single time I’ve had such a great experience. Everyone I’ve interacted with has always been incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. Most recently, I had two wisdom teeth removed, and the team made the whole experience so much easier and more comfortable for me. A special thank you to Dr. Than and his dental assistant — I unfortunately didn’t catch her name, but she was absolutely wonderful. They were both so kind, patient, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout the entire procedure. Dr. Than was very gentle and constantly made sure I was doing okay, and his assistant was just as caring and attentive the whole time. I really appreciated how well they took care of me from beginning to end. After the procedure, he carefully prepared everything I needed for my recovery and took the time to explain all of the aftercare instructions in detail so I knew exactly what to do once I got home. I also want to give a special shoutout to Loralyn, the Office Manager, who is always so sweet and welcoming during check-in and check-out. She makes every visit feel that much more pleasant. What I appreciate most about this office is that this level of kindness isn’t just a one-time experience. I’ve been here multiple times, and everyone has consistently been so nice and caring. You can really tell that they care about their patients. Thank you so much to Dr. Than, his wonderful dental assistant, Loralyn, and the entire Southcenter Modern Dentistry team for always taking such good care of me. Highly recommend! ❤️

I have what I feel like is pretty bad dental anxiety/fear. As in, I usually need someone to drive me to an appointment if I've never been to the clinic before. The team here is extremely communicative and professional, and made me feel very comfortable. Despite the fact that the intense pain and fear I was experiencing had me basically out of my mind during the appointment, I left feeling like the doctor and dental assistant were doing their best to take care of me both as a person and as a patient.
